All Custom work requires a 50% deposit before starting and must be paid in full within 60 days of starting; otherwise, only cash will be accepted.*
Custom Work
As of 1/1/18, I no longer offer the service of "made from scratch garments"... such as costumes, formal wear, bridal gowns, everyday wear, etc.
As of 1/1/2023, I no longer offer "Home Decor" Services.

Offering
Transformations (redesign of wedding gown into...) These item(s) are minimum 3-4 months
Baptism/Christening Gowns start at $300* - depending on detail
Handkerchiefs or Garter - starts at $60* - minimum of 12 weeks turnaround, depending on detail
Apron or Pillow - starts at $90* - minimum of 12 weeks turnaround, depending on detail
Robe - starts at $150* - minimum 12 weeks turnaround, depending on detail.
{Please be sure to plan well ahead as I will only be taking 6 - 8 of these per year. $60 minimum for any custom work.}
Transformations (redesign of wedding gown into.....) These item(s) are a minimum of 5-6 months
First Communion Dress/Flower Girl Dress starts at $450* - depending on detail
Bridal Shower/Rehearsal Dinner/Reception Dress starts at $600*- depending on detail

Re-Design (re-design of a current garment into something of your taste)
It varies depending on what you are starting with and what you want.
$30/hour for regular sewing and beading/handwork
There is a $60 minimum for a small non-wearable item and a minimum of $300 for a wearable item. {robes are only exception*}

Embroidery pricing reflects more than just the stitches on a garment. Several important factors contribute to the overall cost:

Hooping & Placement – Proper hooping is performed by a skilled professional to ensure accurate placement of the design. This prevents bunching, pulling, or misalignment and ensures the finished product looks clean and professional.

Stabilizer & Thread – The correct stabilizer must be selected for each fabric type and design. Combined with high-quality thread, this ensures durability and a polished appearance.

Machine Time & Expertise – Embroidery machines require precise setup and monitored run time to achieve consistent results. Each project requires knowledge, attention, and time invested in both preparation and production.

Digitizing & Templates – For logos or custom designs, the file must first be digitized to translate the artwork into stitch data into a file for the specific machine that is embroidering the project. While I do not charge for my time to collaborate with the digitizer, please note that one embroidery template is included at no cost. Any additional templates may incur an extra charge (up to the value of your embroidery order).
By factoring in these elements, you receive a professional-quality result that is both long-lasting and visually aligned with your vision.

*Please note the above is ONLY an estimation. Every job and every customer's desired outcome is unique. Stitch count determines the price. Turnaround time is calculated from the date of the scheduled appointment. I will discuss all aspects with you at your scheduled appointment so you are making informed decisions for your needs/budget. It is highly recommended to plan ahead and make an appointment ahead of the time you need as there can be delays for editing or closures for holidays, vacations, etc. There is an additional charge for items needing to be disassembled and reassembled for embroidery and for expedited services.
Digitizing
Ranges depend on whether they are sent out or done in-house. (based on stitch count/digitizing time)
Larger Items will be more as some digitizing may be sent out, and fees will vary according to vendor.
Set-up Fee
Shirts $15.00 and Jackets/Bags $15.00 - $20.00 (depends on hoop size)
Lettering & Logos* & Monograms
They are all priced according to stitch count and the item being embroidered. Monogramming typically runs a higher stitch count than lettering, depending on your desired design/style. Be sure you are planning ahead of your need, especially around holidays and closures, so you are not disappointed in availability or additonal charge for expedited services.
Use of Logos – Legal Requirement
Please note: For any logos that are owned, registered, trademarked, or licensed, The Joy of Sewing and Embroidery Service requires a formal “Right to Use” authorization letter. This document must:

Be issued on official company/corporation letterhead.
- Specifically giving The Joy of Sewing and Embroidery permission to use for you.

Be signed by an authorized officer of the company (or an approved liaison acting on their behalf).

Be emailed to me prior to your appointment, with the original hardcopy presented at the appointment.
This requirement is strictly enforced to ensure compliance with all applicable copyright and trademark laws. Unfortunately, no exceptions can be made.
Additional Charge
For items needing to be disassembled and re-assembled for hooping (such as but not limited to... pockets, pillows, totes, etc.) Be sure you are planning ahead of your need, especially around holidays and closures, so you are not disappointed in availability or additonal charge for expedited services.

It is best to set up an appointment via my online booking system to discuss your expectations and see everything on the computer. This allows you to receive the best customer service and timely turnaround. However, 2 Services are designed to assist you according to your needs below with 4 choices on how you would like these services carried out based on your planning.
Embroidery or Reservations - Embroidery based upon your level of need
"RESERVATIONS - EMBROIDERY {LOGO} (30 min.) or "RESERVATIONS - EMBROIDERY "LETTERING ONLY" (15 min.) to see the availability of dates/times.
If you are scheduling for 30 min this includes all aspects of embroidery like LOGO, LETTERING and MONOGRAMMING please be sure to attach your logo in .jpg or. PDF or .png and note any/all requests in the notes field and the level of service you need. This will allow me to more efficiently serve your needs and have the information needed for the digitizer to your expectations. LOGO Digitizing estimation is 3-5 business days, and the entire process can take up to 15 business days, depending on if there are any edits/changes during the process and timely communication between all parties. Please be sure you are booking ahead of your need, so you are not disappointed in the turnaround time. If you are scheduling the 15 min. this is for LETTERING ONLY and doesn't include time for Logo or Monogramming. Please be sure you are booking the correct service so as not to further delay services.

*Digitizing refers to putting your logo into a format that can be read by the embroidery machine that is being used to produce your project.
Embroidery Policy & Payment Information
To ensure a timely turnaround, please be prepared to pay by cash, check, or EFT (electronic funds transfer) at the time of service.
If any edits are required from the provided template or stitch-out (logos only), please note that additional charges may apply. Each edit typically delays production by 2–5 business days, and longer if revisions from the digitizer are required. Since the embroidery machine is only operated on non-appointment days, (for safety reasons) any edits extend the overall timeline.
Please be aware of the following:

Digitizing, set-up fees, and stitch count determine the final cost per item.

Letter colors may be alternated at no extra charge (up to 6 colors).

Font selection may be customized within the program. (there are 100's to choose from)

Stitch-out results may vary based on the fabric of your garment.
Turnaround time is generally 10–14 business days once the design is approved, items are received, and payment is made in full.
